Have you cleaned your drain line lately?

How do you do that? Well here’s your answer!

If you have bought a system from us since 2015 we recommend that you use the provided ball valve and water hose fitting that we install on most drain lines.

Step 1: Turn the thermostat to the off position.
Step 2: Turn the ball valve 90°
Step 3: Unscrew the threaded plug from the hose fitting.
Step 4: Place your hose up to the fitting and turn the hose fitting to tighten up on your hose.
Step 5: Turn on the water and make sure you’re not leaking at the hose fitting.
Step 6: Leave the water on full pressure for at least 1 minute.
Step 7: Turn off the water.
Step 8: Unscrew the water hose from the hose fitting.
Step 9: Screw back on the threaded plug into the hose fitting.
Step 10: Turn the ball valve back to the normal position parallel with the PVC pipe.
Step 11: Enjoy the feeling of accomplishment!

Those 11 simple steps could save you a headache if you do this twice a year.

If your air conditioner does not have a ball valve and a water hose fitting installed on the drain line then you could also use a wet/dry vacuum.

Step 1: Go outside to where the drain line is.
Step 2: Remove the two PVC fitting from the top of the drain line.
Step 3: Turn on the wet/dry vacuum and place it up to the pipe making a nice seal with your hand or some easily removable tape.
Step 4: Turn off the vacuum and check to see if you had any algae water inside of it.
Step 5: pour fresh new water back into the PVC drain from outside where you sucked it out u til the water fill the PVC pipe up.
Step 6: Put the 2 PVC fitting back on the top of the drain line.
Step 7: Show your friends and family what you have learned from A/C Service Masters today and tell them to give us a call for any A/C issues!

😅 With severe weather could come severe repairs.

💵 Severe repairs can be very costly if your air conditioner is not under warranty!

⚡️Remember during these storms that are coming to turn off your A/C during power flickers.

🤦🏻‍♂️ Failures that occur often are:

Motor Modules
Circuit board failures
Electronic expansion valves
Thermostats
And many more parts can fail from surges that come from storms!

This system was installed 18 months ago by another company and they didn’t replace the line set that was over 30 years old during the installation.
With that being said the 7/8 copper line was leaking underneath the house in the chase pipe.

We showed up and pressurized each line individually so we could see which one was loosing pressure to lead us in the right direction of what to do next.

They have already had previous issues with the low voltage wire in the past as well so we decided to take out all of the copper, pvc and wire and then ran a entire new line set and got them back up and running the way we would’ve done it from the beginning.

With so much competition in the business I want to remind you that if a deal seems to good to be true then it probably is. Many factors go into the cost when it comes time to replace your air conditioner. With that being said whether it’s us or another company at your house, make sure that you trust the person/company and also make sure you can understand exactly what is being offered for that price.

‼️This is 2 beautiful installs from our team here!

Good morning and happy Monday!
Last week we took out a old furnace and replaced it with a new 16 seer Lennox heat pump system. We knocked down the old stand to make room for the new equipment. We ran a new line set and lined the new stand with duct board. We installed a filter rack underneath of the A/H for easy filter maintenance.
