Well folks, its that time of year. All of our major projects are wrapping up and we have the time to double back to our favorite clients and knock out a few small projects we had to pass on over the busy season. Another project on the books. We finished this one a few weeks back. I was able to drop by this week and grab some photos of the work now that it's been pained and finished. Here on Palm Beach, we have the additional consideration to rust and corrosion control as well as building to resist 170 mph winds. This project was spec'd with all stainless fasteners and aluminum structural columns underneath the Azek wraps. We used cypress tongue and groove as well as cypress for the beam wraps and boxes. Should easily last 50 years or longer if maintained.

El Cid project update. Patio came out nicely. Clients want to add a second pergola to the back, so we are on hold for additional permits, and landscape lighting is still on back order for the 12th week. But patience is the key here to get lasting results and a quality product done correctly.

As I grow the company it comes with these bittersweet moments. This bathroom is likely the last one I will self perform the entire gut to finish work myself. But it's a good sign as we expand into Palm Beach and transition to more custom and luxury projects it's important that we remember where we started. This bathroom was a great project and even though it came with it's share of difficulties and delays we finished strong and the client is excited to have an updated masterbath.

Another case of just the tip of the iceberg. Called for a cracked marble window sill and just kept following the discrepancies. Turned out to be a cracked prefabricated sill plate, and water was leaking in through the window frames. After filling the CMU below the window with cement, we poured a new sill in place and sloped it properly. Replaced the widow mounting screws and sealed them, then put in a new wood casing and sill instead of replacing the drywall returns. Ordered new trim for the casing and new baseboards for the entire bedroom. Stay tuned for the final product!
