Just as a friendly reminder we do not take plant material returns. The reason we have had this policy in place is to protect the plant inventory that we currently have available for sale.

For example, If you took a plant home, and an invasive bug crawled into that pot or collects fungus from the property....then you were to return in. That invasive bug/fungus now has the capability of wiping out the inventory we currently have on the grounds. Or it can hitchhike to another customer's house and cause damage on their property.

We apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause. However, once the plant material leaves the grounds, we will no longer take it back.

If you do not want the plant material at all, here are some places you can donate that plant too: Master gardeners, local garden clubs, 4H, school garden groups, neighbors/family/friends, etc.

Happy Mother's Day Weekend!!

We have new products here at CRGC and they are NATIVES!!
What is a native, you ask? A native plant is a plant that naturally grew in a region long before people brought plants from other parts of the world. These plants are the foundation of a healthy local ecosystem. Iowa actually was once 85–90% tallgrass prairie — today less than 0.1% remains. So, bringing natives to your yards and landscapes can bring the ecosystem back to life!

Reasons to plant Natives:
• Support pollinators & birds
• Reduce watering + fertilizer needs
• Improve soil & prevent erosion
• Thrive in Iowa’s weather extremes

We have plenty of options available, and we encourage you to come get some and help Iowa thrive again!

We are open until 6 today!
