Breaking News: I’ve entered my Dog Renaissance Period™

I painted Roger. Not because anyone asked me to. Not because Roger requested it. But because he deserves to be immortalized in a field of flowers like an aristocrat from the 1800s.

Is Roger my dog? No. He lives one block over and, tragically, belongs to someone else.

Did Roger sit for this painting? No. Did I capture his essence anyway? Also no, but look at these flowers! 🤗

Am I good at painting? Depends on who you ask. Either way, I want to do a whole series of dogs in flowers. And I would like to paint YOUR dog because I’ve memorized my own dogs’ dumb faces and it’s time for new material. Send me your goobers, your floofs, your majestic chaos beasts. The more derp, the better.

Of everything I’ve painted so far, this has been my most favorite project. Three 11x14 prints in rose gold metal frames for a big girl’s new bedroom. I can’t wait to see these hung on the wall, !
