What Does Removing Old Paver Sealer Actually Look Like?
This picture shows a real example of old sealer being removed from a paver surface. The line between the treated and untreated areas makes it easy to see just how much buildup can remain on pavers over time.
When old sealer starts to fail, simply applying another coat over the top isn’t always the right solution. Depending on the condition of the existing sealer, the surface may need to be properly stripped and cleaned before it can be resealed.
Proper preparation is one of the most important parts of a professional paver sealing job. Removing failing sealer can help create a cleaner surface for the new sealer to bond to and provide a more uniform finished appearance.
At Stingray Sealing Services, we evaluate the existing sealer before determining the proper cleaning, stripping, sanding, and sealing process.
