A Pause to Build Something Better
After seven years of helping families create safer homes, we’ve decided to hit pause and take a break this summer to completely rethink how Little Deeds operates.
We've built something special together with Little Deeds, and I'm proud of what we've accomplished. So instead of scrambling to figure things out during this big move overseas, we are taking time to completely rethink how Little Deeds might operate a bit differently.
We are going to test our new "Silver Platter” to Trusted Partner" process. We’ve been piloting virtual home visits and working with trusted contractors who meet our highest standards.
The reality is that fall rates are rising, fire dangers remain, and accessibility barriers are everywhere. Much of what we do feels like putting Band-Aids on a bigger systemic problem. Do you remember Ralph Nader's book "Unsafe at Any Speed"? It changed how we think and act upon car safety; We need to talk about "Unsafe at Every Step" in our homes.
We will keep connecting folks with contractors we deeply trust - people who share our standards and passion for helping others
If we do this right, Little Deeds will eventually serve more families, work more efficiently to the highest standards of care. This isn't goodbye. Let's take a summer break to build something better! I would love your insights, ideas, suggestions, and criticism.

Your trust in us means everything, and we can't wait to show you what we’re working on.
