I wanted to take a minute to bring up a few issues I’m noticing with tree services in the Pensacola area. We have had a large increase in new tree services in the last couple years. While that is good for the consumer to have more selection, there seems to be a lack of experience and professionalism, and safety. I just want to be clear. This is not an attempt to throw shade at other companies and steer jobs our way. There are a handful of other companies which also exercise safe practices. But a lot of the new ads I see on Facebook are pictures of tree crews working without the correct PPE( personal protective equipment), meaning no helmets or protective clothing. This is unacceptable and illegal in such a dangerous industry, and should be a red flag. A legitimate tree company should also have a certified arborist on staff and carry the proper insurance. It will be helpful to you as the customer to ask for these basic requirements. That is what makes one of the biggest differences in job pricing compared to other companies. It cost a lot more money to operate correctly and with everything in place to protect you( the customer) and your property. If its a larger tree you should also ask if a permit is required as the fines can be substantial. This applies to pruning and removal. These permits are in place to prevent the improper pruning of large mature trees, or an unnecessary removal. When shopping around for prices, I do encourage following these guidelines to compare apples to apples. It will benefit you and the legitimate tree services of this area. Thank you if you have taken time out of your day to read this post, and I hope it can help some people along the way!
