This week we’re skipping “Transformation Tuesday.” Instead, we simply want to shoot a huge “Thank You!” to the hardworking guys that keep us running in the field. We’re missing just one guy today, but these good looking guys are crushing it in this heat today.

If you see them, toss them a Gatorade, but avoid a pat on the back unless you want wet, sweat hands.

This week’s Transformation Tuesday is an “oldie but a goodie.” Our team has enjoyed a long professional relationship with Saint Philomena Catholic Church here in Peoria, and we wanted to take an opportunity to highlight their rosary garden. It’s served as a place of prayer, reflection, and also as an outdoor teaching space. Thank you for letting us work with you!

This week’s transformation Tuesday is a beautiful patio replacement using Unilock Brussels Block and an inlay of their Hollandstone pavers in Charcoal. Plantings include a mix of hummelo, tickseed, coneflower, and ornamental onion, liriope, and hydrangea.

We’re almost finished turning this wooded tree line into a beautiful venue for a wedding, with a keyhole shaped natural stone patio flanked by two dry creek beds, and a raised planting berm to set a beautifully planted backdrop. This is one of those projects that will age like fine wine as the plantings mature and fill in.

Autumn Moor Grass (Sesleria Autumnalis) is our plant of the week. This compact perennial grass makes a beautiful filler, providing a lush green backdrop to set the scene for whatever blooms you may fancy.

We love this choice because unlike many grasses, it doesn’t spread. It’s also water-wise, so it won’t require irrigation or extra attention when we have our usual rainfall.
