Sunday evening video update from W***y.
Yesterday our buddy Donald from pollinatives drove all the way to us, brought us plants to sell and helped customers. A customer brought us three unbelievably beautiful succulents from his personal growing facility to sell. Austin gardening organizations, NPSOT members, Master Gardeners, Master Naturalists, our neighbors here in Central Texas and even our new friends that just learned about us from this campaign came out in droves to support us. Many asked to pay for plants full price.
Overnight we launched a shirt fundraiser and 30 of you dreamboats have already bought a shirt or crewneck.
Today, same story. Blanton’s Nursery , Joey Santore , Vanessa Minton , ɴᴀᴛɪᴠᴇ ᴘʟᴀɴᴛ ʀᴇꜱᴄᴜᴇ ᴘʀᴏᴊᴇᴄᴛ - ᴛᴇxᴀꜱ , Chelsea, all of our (unbelievably) hard working staff, native seed companies and fellow native growers put out a plea for people to come and support us or came all the way out to us to bring attention to our little shop. There were people who showed up and quietly, under the radar, did kind things in our honor. Our customers braved the heat, I-35 🫠, and a huge crowd to support us.
We cannot thank you all enough, there aren’t adequate words. Just know, from the very bottom of our hearts, we are so so grateful for you. It’s not over yet.
*A few quick house keeping things:
1) We are a small (but mighty) staff. If we are face-to-face with a customer we prioritize that over a phone call. We do our best to answer all voice messages in 72 hours.
