Another master bathroom in the books! I love taking a client’s vision and turning it into a reality. ⁣

Started with gutting everything and chiseling/grinding the tile and mortar down to the slab. Floors were far from level so 5 bags of self leveler later we were ready to transform the space. ⁣
⁣
Went with a shower door and constructed the shower to the exact measurements required. Not a task to take lightly as calculations for the framing, backer board, mortar, tile, and thresholds have to be perfect. ⁣
⁣
Thanks to for the perfect reclaimed barn wood for the mirror frame and towel hook backer! It matches the clients’ century old barn beam mantle perfectly in their living room. ⁣

Client had a particular cabinet design in mind and Jeff at knocked them out of the park! Just finished up the install with a maple butcher block countertop with a pop up outlet built into it. As always, used to seal and finish for a long lasting waterproof finish.

Oak Island deck complete! Tore the entire structure down and rebuilt it to last. RDI vinyl railings and Royal PVC trim for easy maintenance in addition to protecting the framing. Pressure treated decking was pre-drilled and fastened to the joists (covered in butyl tape to prevent rot) with stainless steel screws. ⁣

Deck stairs nearly complete! Started the steps first to provide a less steep (risers were 8”+) and splinter free climb for the homeowners and guests over the 4th of July Weekend. 🇺🇸 ⁣

The remaining deck and railings will be completed at a later date this summer.⁣
⁣
This deck is being built to last. I’m using rubber butyl tape over the stringers to seal the cuts from rot and splitting along with wrapping the posts completely where they are underground. The treads are also predrilled, to prevent splitting, before fastening with stainless screws. ⁣

My new go to method for cutting outlet boxes into cabinets. DeWalt cordless router and Whiteside spiral flush up cut trim bit. The floors in this kitchen are far from level and getting measurements to mark the cut outs would have been quite the chore. This method took less than 3 minutes from drilling a pilot hole to vacuuming the mess. I love my oscillating tool for this kind of work, but router from now on it is.⁣

Sealing and Finishing in one step with the help of . A light sand with a 00 steel wool pad and these butcher block counters are going to shine! This stuff is impervious to water (and wine!). Everything beads right up and wipes right off. ⁣
