Spring is finally here! Trees and plants are waking up from the cold and short days of winter. Buds are beginning to swell on deciduous trees and the junipers and pines are greening up as the days lengthen and the temps get warmer.
This year our start date at Green Dragon is April 3rd; Good Friday being a great day to kick off our spring season. We’ll be at our usual outside location across from the Simply Surplus store.
Come shop our selection of bonsai, airplants and houseplants - or just stop by to say hello.
See you then!!

Hello!
We’d like to inform all of our plant friends and customers that beginning in January, we will no longer be operating inside our current Building #5 location at the Green Dragon Farmer’s Market. We are there through December and of course, will be back at our main location outside, every Friday beginning April 3rd, 2026.
If we don’t see you before the holiday, we’ll see you in the spring!

This Saturday, August 9th, we’ll be at the Lititz Craft Show with our bonsai trees and airplant
designs. This year we’ll be located on Main St between Oak and Elm; show hours are 8am-4pm.
Weather forecast calls for a beautiful sunny day.

Another cold day forecasted tomorrow so we’re going have to skip our scheduled day at Hometown Farmer’s Market.☹️ It’s just too cold for the health of our plants. We will be at Green Dragon Market on Friday.

We were hoping to be at the Hometown Farmer’s Market tomorrow, but due to the cold temps forecasted we’ll have to postpone until the temps warm up a bit.☹️

Earlier this week we received our initial shipment of houseplant plugs. Spent a good part of the week potting up Monstera, Scindapsus and Peperomia to name a few. We’ll feed and grow them so they’ll be ready mid to late spring.

So excited spring is almost here!
Late last week we received close to 300 tree seedlings from an Oregon based grower. Japanese Red Maples, Dawn Redwood, European Beech are among the deciduous species that we’ll be growing out. These little guys will be developed for bonsai starters/pre-bonsai and small landscape trees.
