The Summer Collection is now available! So stoked how these turned out. While my product photography skills may leave something to be desired, these four scents are all super clean and beachy.

High Tide immerses you in the aromas of waves crashing on a rocky coastline with a storm brewing in the distance. Top notes of lemon, orange and fresh ozone give way to a heart of briny sea salt and hint of jasmine.

Day at the Beach is the essence of a luxe tropical escape. Notes of coconut reminiscent of suntan lotion are you first thing you’ll notice. But instead of being sweet like many coconut scents, this scent leans on woody notes of sandalwood, cedar and amyris.

Moonlight is a request from a good friend that turned out awesome so it’s sticking around. It will transport you to a cool, breezy night on the beach as a full moon reflects off the ocean. Notes of geranium blend well with the amber, patchouli and musky notes that round out the scent.

Sea Mist transports you to a hilltop overlooking the summer sea. Top notes of citrus, sea salt and ozone add a marine accord that envelops the floral heart of jasmine, lilac and orange blossom. Amber and tonka bean ground the airy quality of this oceanic scent.

Little update post: There’s still a few of each scent left of the recently released cocktail inspired candles in case anyone is interested. After knocking out a pretty large wholesale order, I finished up the Summer Collection which will feature four pretty awesome scents…Sea Mist, High Tide, Day at the Beach and Moonlight. These WON’T be a limited release and will be in stock throughout the summer. Should have them available for purchase by weeks end. Thanks again! 🙏🏻

Happy Memorial Day weekend! The Cocktail Collection is ready to go! I’m not going to dive too deep into the fragrance profile of these because they smell exactly like you think they would.

Old Fashioned is probably my favorite of the bunch because I adore bourbon. It has an intoxicating whiskey aroma complemented by cherry and orange and a hint of vanilla.

Mojito fuses notes of rum and freshly muddled mint with tropical notes of lime and pineapple.

Mimosa evokes the bubbly effervescence of its namesake cocktail with a blend of champagne and mandarin notes and a hint of sandalwood to round it out.

Quick little update. What an absolutely unreal first weekend. We’re currently sold out of Sakura and Oak & Embers. They’ll be back in stock next month. There’s still a few Meadow available if you’re interested. The cocktail inspired collection I mentioned earlier will be available early next week so if you missed out on the first few scents these are just as awesome. So stoked to finally be able to say we have product available for purchase. The first three scents are ready to go!

Sakura is the Japanese word for Cherry blossom and these have a nice Cherry blossom top note with rose and Cherry in the middle and a nice sandlewood base.

Meadow evokes a feeling of laying in a sprawling, grassy field on a sunny day. The scent starts with citrus and lemongrass and then moves on to fresh cut grass and finishes with nice touch of sage. I think it’s the perfect spring time scent.

Oak and Embers evokes an atmosphere of relaxing with an after dinner cordial in an old fashioned smoking room. The scent starts with a nice touch of leather as it moves to amyris before leaving you with a nice musky base.

All our candles are made from 100% natural soy wax grown in the USA and hand poured in small batches.

These beauties are currently curing and getting ready to be labeled and out the door.
So you may be (but probably not) asking what is curing and why is it important?

SCIENCE TIME- Two things happen after pouring a candle. The wax hardens into a semi-solid and the fragrance oil “binds” to the wax. Fragrance oil is always going to be a liquid at room temperature. As the wax cools, it contracts and traps these liquid oil molecules as it hardens. As the wax continues to harden, the aromatic molecules are dispersed throughout the wax structure. Vegetable waxes, such as the soy wax I use are polymorphic meaning they will constantly continue to harden over their lifespan. I can go on, but what does this all mean? Basically, it’s best to let these cure for 1-2 weeks before lighting them. Doing so will ensure the oils have adequately dispersed throughout the wax to provide a consistent, strong but not overpowering scent throw and will also ensure the wax has reached a not too hard, not too soft level of hardness where it will reach an optimal burn time.

New shipment of wax and scents arrived today so that means I can finally get to work on the next line that I’m super excited about! The “Cocktail Line” will feature three different fragrances all inspired by classic cocktails...“Mimosa”, “Mojito” and “Old Fashioned” I can honestly say they all smell amazing.

I’m also incredibly excited and anxious to be able to officially launch the product within the next week. Something about someone opening a lid for the first time and being like “this smells good” just seems awesome to me.
