A long time ago, I made a pledge to buy only American Made apparel for Rare Heating and Air. That decision set me back about 5 years in the procurement and design process, but that's okay. Better late than never.

Forward progress or a blast from the past? I haven't installed a water heater blanket in at least 15 years. This one looks so comfy I almost took it home with me.

Thank you to for thinking about the contractor and the challenges we face getting new equipment into old spaces. If you haven't seen one of these yet, the added blanket allows us to meet new insulation standards while maintaining the footprint of the old unit. The space may look big, but the door and hallway we had to get through, no so much. We went a step further and increased the available hot water with Tank Booster Pro

Another tile job from Rare Heating and Air, the company that doesn't do tile. Apparently the guy who came before us doesn't do tile either. We got the call to save this subway tile and bath hardware project after the last "contractor" was asked to leave. It turned into a full tear out with new cement board and tile. Check out the afters and befores.
