We are looking for a few pools that are green with Algae to test a new product for easier cleaning without flocking.

To possibly participate, please message us with a picture of your pool, the brand (if known) and size. Both inground and above ground are eligible. Preferably, no shock has been added yet, but that is not a requirement.

If selected, we will send the products free of charge in exchange for images and feedback.

This Algae Success Even Surprised Us!

A customer submitted this photo where his pool had been so green with algae that he could not see the bottom in the shallow end. He shocked the pool and two Aquabag Pure filter bags were connected with our eyeball fitting adapters. Two days and one rinse out later, it was clear and the remaining sediment was being vacuumed.

There were no complex chemical level steps or special chemicals needed. Also, there is not the waste of water that occurs when vacuuming to waste after adding flock and waiting for the dead Algae in the pool to settle.

There is an added bonus to this method. Removing the algae before it breaks down removes the phosphates that could otherwise be released back into your pool. This reduces the food that algae thrives on, helping to prevent another bad bloom.

If trying to perform this process, shock your pool and connect a reusable Aquabag to each inlet. Monitor and maintain your chlorine levels to keep it at a level to kill the live algae. Once clean, rebalance your pool.

Algae can block the bags and cause bursting, depending on the pressure capability of your pool pump. The number of washouts required depends on the size of your pool and the severity of the algae bloom. In other words: Your mileage may vary.

Another EXTREME iron problem solved by an Aquabag!
Problems with a Cloudy Pool, Iron Pool or Copper Pool, can all be solved without adding Chemicals!

"We are absolutely amazed with the Aquabag! We filled our pool the beginning of June and had 2 filters running; the paper filter system and the sand system with a saltwater system. From the beginning of June - End of July we had not made any progress with removing the iron in the pool (constantly having the filters running). We tried shocking the pool, clarifier, mineral out, metal and stain remover - and nothing seemed to help. I was skeptical of the Aquabag, but after 24 hours we already seen it start to lighten up. We have heavy iron in our well water as we have a sand point, so it did take longer than anticipated, it took us a week to get to this clear blue water. Absolutely worth it - and we will be purchasing a second one for next year to clear up the pool quicker with 2 running at the same time. Absolutely love that it’s chemical free. A few words on using metal treatment products with an Aquabag FE or CU. First word: Don't.

The metal treatment sequestrants will chemically put the metals, or at least a portion of them, back into solution (clear), but require maintenance applications. In a many cases, adding chlorine will cause some of the metals to re-oxidize and you end up on a merry go round.

If you have already added metal treatment, the Aquabag will still work, but will take more time. Metals cannot be filtered until they have oxidized. Metals will continue to re-oxidize between passing through the filter and Aquabag and visible improvement will be slower than with untreated water.

If your pool was cleared and you want to free yourself of additional pool chemicals, connect the Aquabag (FE or CU) every two to three days. and It will collect what has re-oxidized until your are free to get off of the chemicals.

Your problem will be gone for good.
