This is me. 👋 My name is Hayley and I am the founder of Daisy Dough LLC. I am not a camera or video person. I look pretty rough 95% of the time in my “house attire” with unkept hair. But here’s a glimpse of who is making your baked goods right here in Pickens.
As I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, in any silence I can find (and with a house full, that’s not often), I find myself talking to the Lord and reflecting on life. I think a lot.
Today I’m wondering: What has God saved you from? What has He delivered you from? What has He done in your life that revealed just how real He is?
I’ll go first.
My testimony is lengthy, so I’ll keep it short. A few years ago, God healed me from severe, debilitating ulcerative colitis. My colon was on the verge of being removed. During that same season, our business that once generated over a million dollars in revenue shut down. We faced bankruptcy and later did in fact file for such. We spent months wondering if we would lose our home.
I don’t blame God for those losses.
I thank Him for them.
Because it was through that loss that I truly found Him. While everything around me seemed to be falling apart, He healed me. It’s been almost two years since I’ve had symptoms of that disease. He taught me how to bake while we waited for answers. He provided when we couldn’t see a way forward. And yes, He even saved us from losing our home.
Whew.
God is good.
Even in the deepest valleys, He is there. Even when we don’t understand the path, He is good.
