In Southeast Minnesota, deck footings must be installed at a minimum depth of 42 inches to extend below the frost line and prevent frost heave during the winter months. If footings aren’t dug deep enough, freezing and thawing soil can cause deck posts to lift and shift, creating an unstable and potentially unsafe structure. That’s why we go beyond the minimum requirements, digging our footings deeper to provide a stronger foundation and ensure your deck remains safe, stable, and built to last for years to come.

This project started with a water issue in the lower level—but it didn’t stop there. After solving the problem, we helped turn this space into a backyard showpiece.

Just wrapped up this pressure-treated green deck and what a transformation.

When we inspected the original deck, we found major safety issues: sinking posts, an improperly connected beam, and one entire side starting to pull away from the house.

This is exactly why yearly deck inspections matter and yes, we provide them.

For this project, we:
✔️ Drafted blueprints
✔️ Pulled permits
✔️ Scheduled and handled inspections
✔️ Supplied all materials and labor
✔️ Rebuilt the structure safely and correctly
✔️ Redirected the steps for better access
✔️ No lighting before, now fully lit for safety and security

We also repaired the damaged ledger board and made sure everything is sealed and protected—no insects, no moisture issues, no heat loss, and no water intrusion.

Best part? Completed in just 5 days on time and on budget.
