Lightning struck this tree in Chartiers Cemetery in Carnegie during last night's round of storms. The cemetery manager said to us, "That's a lot of tree!". He isn't wrong! Pictures don't really do this one justice.
Local fire companies had to respond twice for this tree as it was still on fire from the lightning strike. Once yesterday evening and again today. Wind helped the tree stay ignited even during the removal process. Fortunately, decades of experience and routine training keep our crew safe during these types of emergencies.
We appreciate Chartiers Cemetery for choosing us to come and provide this safe, effective, and quick removal. Once the remainder of the debris is removed, families will be able to return to this section of the cemetery to remember and visit their loved ones.
