American Pavements, Inc. is a national highway rehabilitation contractor specializing in asphalt and concrete preservation. We provide services such as crack sealing over existing asphalt as well as Microsurfacing.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
· Able to operate heavy equipment including wheeled loaders, skid steers, paving equipment, tractor-trailer (lowboy)
· Willing to travel throughout Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky and surrounding states
· Must pass a DOT-regulated drug screening
· Must have ability to read, write and perform simple mathematical calculations with ability to handle receipts, road maps, road signs, maintain drivers logs, etc.
· Tanker Endorsement highly recommended but not required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be able to sit and remain alert while driving
· Must be willing and able to work long hours and weekends on occasion
· Must be willing and able to travel for a period of up to 14 days
· Must be hard-working and safety conscious
· Possess a positive attitude and be willing to follow instruction
· Able to work outside in a fast-paced environment
· Must possess, or be willing to obtain, a current Department of Transportation Medical Certificate (DOT Medical Card)*
· Must possess a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
· Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations including drivers logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records and other records required by law
· Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle
COMPENSATION
· Base pay of $18.50-$20.00 based on experience level
· +$10.00 /hr fringe pay while on non-prevailing paving jobs
· Nightly Per-diem of $25.00
· Federal Davis Bacon Operator pay starting at $37.02 /hr + $15.20 /hr Fringe
· Ohio Prevailing Wage starting at $38.12 /hr + $15.45 /hr Fringe
SIGN ON BONUS: $1,000 paid at the end of the 2022 Season
