Home HVAC Advisor does not sell any equipment or provide repair services, nor does it receive any compensation from any company or manufacturer. I work exclusively for you, the home owner and your best interests. I solve heating and air conditioning issues in your home, provide solutions for your indoor air quality and assist you with expert advise when you are replacing your furnace and air condi

tioning system. I will recommend excellent contractors that you can trust to provide top quality service in your home. I believe a majority of home owners do not get proper equipment and service for their homes due to the lack of guidance from their contractors. I believe most home owners pay more for furnaces and air conditioners than they should but, don't get near the quality they deserve. There are a lot of variables to consider when choosing the right equipment for a home. If there are hot and cold issues in a home, I feel these need to be addressed during the installation process. There could be duct work issues, indoor air quality issues and/or health concerns in the house. These can only be addressed properly beginning with installation of exceptional equipment and proper modifications at this time. This decision and investment is crucial and should last for 15-20+ years. When you do business with contractors, they're not always looking out for your best interest in the long run. Being a home owner is a huge responsibility and this type of investment is usually time sensitive. This can be a difficult decision to make in a short amount of time. I encourage home owners to plan ahead of time and change out their old equipment so, a quick decision doesn't have to made so their money is spent well, needs addressed being satisfied???? From what I have seen in this industry, you get substandard service and the expenses are much more in the short and long term. If this is not done properly and all of the facts, concerns and issues are not taken into consideration, the enjoyment of one's home will not be a comfortable temperature nor will the quality of air be as good as it should be. Happy first day of spring... Sure doesn't feel like it! Spring is when Manufacturers have rebates on home comfort systems. This is the best time to buy a furnace and air conditioning system. There are Rebates currently from utility companies like Nicor and Com Ed up to $1000 on complete systems or furnaces by themselves 92 & 95% efficiency. You can find these at Nicorgasrebates.com. There are also government Tax Credits (high end equipment as well) up to $500 for complete system or $150 for 95% and $50 for variable speed blower motor with less than 2% energy consumption qualify. If you are thinking of purchasing a furnace or air conditioning home comfort system, you should start shopping. You will get the most benefits with the best pricing of the year in the next few months during the spring. Once the summer hits, Rebates from the manufacturer are usually gone or not near as good. Supply and demand usually kicks in as well when it gets hot, so prices may go up!! Don't get put on the spot and start to shop!!
