While most of her life lacked any real interest in hobbies other than writing, her world became larger while walking down the occult section in the library. There she found a book named "Kitchen Witch's Guide to Brews and Potions." Cautiously, she glanced through the book and found healing recipes written with care. She learned about how wine was made and this sparked an interesting new hobby. Tho
ugh her first love was writing, she decided on pursuing a degree in Accounting while in high school, but her real passion was in cooking. She continued her education at The International Culinary at the Art Institute of Ft. From this she developed a love of food art of which she would like to share with the world. As more information was made public to the world about the state of our food, how it's grown and what it may be doing to us as human beings, she became interested in acquiring local and organic foods as well as urban sustainable gardening. One of the most fulfilling hobbies she has acquired recently is knitting, a craft which her mother was skilled in, creating delicate dollies to set under her vases. At the time, she found it just another mundane task in life as the thought of knitting, in her seven year old mind, didn't produce anything useful. Even with the lack of enthusiasm, the thought of needle crafting remained in her heart until she was an adult. Knitting seemed like an old woman's hobby, but when she saw an inspiring garden girl knitting a hat for a young child, she jumped into the craft and never looked back. At 24 years old, Starling Grey wants to finally share with the world all the little things she's learned through her hobbies and crafts. "I hope you appreciate them as much as I do. There's still so much that I would like to do. From writing my first book to running my first marathon. I want to record everything I learn in this blog, so hopefully I can inspire someone else to try new things."
