Northeast Going Street Kitchen Remodel

This project completely transformed the heart of the home. We removed a load-bearing wall, installed a structural beam, and opened up the space to create a bright, functional open-concept kitchen and dining area.

The remodel features custom cabinetry, quartz countertops, a large island for gathering and entertaining, full-height subway tile backsplash wrapping the entire kitchen, and new oak flooring throughout.

The result is a space that feels significantly larger, brighter, and much more connected to the rest of the home while maintaining a timeless design that will look great for years to come.

Commercial office remodel project here in Portland that Tall Firs Construction hired us to help with. This was a fun one where we transformed a pretty plain and outdated commercial space into a warm, custom workspace with a completely different feel and atmosphere.

The project included a custom kitchen, bathroom remodel, updated lighting, flooring, finishes, and extensive custom woodworking throughout the space. All of the woodwork was milled, fabricated, and custom built by us to give the office a one of a kind look and feel that matched the client’s vision.

Projects like this are always rewarding because they completely change how a space functions and feels for the people using it every day.

Clay Basement project here in Southeast Portland. This is one we completed a while back, and we finally got some finished photos to share.

The existing basement was originally a poorly done DIY remodel, so we ended up taking everything back down to the studs and completely rebuilding the space from the ground up.

The new layout included a full bathroom with a custom tile shower and soaking tub, a new laundry area, living room space, and a new bedroom to create a much more functional extension of the home. We also updated insulation, electrical, plumbing, drywall, flooring, lighting, and finishes throughout the basement.

Projects like this are always satisfying because of how dramatic the transformation becomes once everything comes together. Clean, functional, comfortable living space that feels like part of the original home.

Finally got some finished photos back from the NE 35th Addition project here in Portland. This was a really fun one to bring to life.

For this project, we bumped out the front of the home to expand the main living space and create room upstairs for an additional bedroom and new primary bathroom. We also added square footage off the back of the house for a brand new office space.

The exterior received a full facelift with all new siding, paint, concrete walkways, patio stairs, landscaping improvements, and updated finishes throughout. Inside, we updated flooring, finishes, and tied everything together while keeping the home feeling cohesive and functional for the homeowners.

Part of the Porter Project here in Portland.

This mid-century home got a full kitchen gut and remodel, along with new flooring throughout the entire lower level. The goal was to keep the original character of the home while updating everything for a clean, functional, modern feel.

We installed custom birch cabinetry paired with Formica countertops and backsplash to stay true to that retro mid-century look, while still giving it a fresh, updated finish.

All new lighting, layout updates, and finishes brought this space back to life.

Borthwick ADU project.

This one was a full ADU addition tied into the existing home, designed to create a clean, functional living space without feeling separate or disconnected.

From framing and tying into the existing structure, to building out a modern interior layout, this turned into a really efficient setup. Open living space, full kitchen, in-unit laundry, and a comfortable sleeping area, all within a compact footprint.

We focused on keeping everything cohesive with the original house while maximizing usability and long term value.

ADUs are one of the best ways to add space, flexibility, and potential rental income here in Portland.

Kent Project bathroom.

Part of a larger remodel where we kept the mid-century style consistent with the rest of the home.

Custom wood paneling, built-ins, and clean tile work throughout. Everything was designed to match the original character while updating the space to function better for everyday use.

This is the kind of work we enjoy. Blending new construction with existing architecture and getting all the details right.

Bathroom transformation.

This was part of a larger project, but this bathroom got a full overhaul. Took it down to the studs, reworked the layout, updated plumbing, and built a clean, modern shower with full tile throughout.

Completely changed the feel of the space.
