Let's get to the truth! True or false: Closing vents to select rooms in your home will save you money.

False: A properly installed HVAC system should be sized and balanced according to the specific amount of air to be circulated in a home. However, when you close vents, you may throw off the balance of the system or change the way air is distributed resulting in temperatures that make the rest of the house uncomfortable.

So next time in adventures of the AC man. I make a habit of always looking at the ground when I walk, because I done had my brushes in with creepy crawlers, but today the danger was from above.
So when servicing an AC system as usual something buzzed my ear and I pop it. Not seeing what it was, my customer lawn guy left her fence open and I walk over and closed it. As I'm walking back I see bugs flying to a light fixture outside hanging over the unit I'm servicing.
As I get closer I found out that the light fixture is a huge hornet's nest, smh. Only God was with me as I swatted one them, could have been a BAD day....
"Moral of the story is 👀 up and down when working outside ".

TIP: If you're power is out, cut off your AC system at the t-stat if possible, because when the power is restored a surge can damage your system...
