Hi, I’m Sara-Lynn, the proud owner and operator of Fleurish Plant Care, LLC. This isn’t just a hobby or a side gig—it’s my full-time J.O.B., my heart project, and the dream
I’ve built from the ground up (literally). After leaving my 9–5, I chose to pour myself fully into this business because I truly believe that bringing plants into our lives can bring peace, happiness, and healing. I was searching for something to help me breathe again—something to bring life into my underused sunporch and into my soul. What started with a few houseplants quickly turned into a full-on jungle (205 plants, to be exact) and a moment I’ll never forget—my husband, Wink, looked around and said, “Sara-Lynn, you need a greenhouse.”
So, in the summer of 2024, we did just that. We spent months designing and building my dream greenhouse—almost entirely by hand, with a little help from family and one very handy friend from Down Under. Today, the greenhouse houses well over 300 plants, with plans to expand into aquatic plants soon. Wink may have built it for me, but this isn’t just a sweet little greenhouse I sit in all day—this is my business. I manage the jungle, I propagate, I educate, and I help others find the same joy I’ve found. Whether you’re a seasoned plant lover or someone who swears they have a “black thumb,” I’m here to help you learn, grow, and fleurish. Through the years, I’ve battled pests, root rot, overwatering, underwatering—you name it—and I’ve gained the skills and knowledge to help others keep their plants thriving. Nothing makes me happier than watching someone discover the joy of nurturing a healthy plant. But Fleurish Plant Care is more than just plants. Our greenhouse is also a destination—a tropical oasis during the cold Virginia months. We host photographers from all over the state who want a vibrant, lush backdrop for their clients. We also offer plant rentals for weddings, events, and even home staging. A perfectly placed plant can transform a space, evoke an emotion, and make a lasting impression. And as for the name? Yes, Fleurish is spelled a little differently—but it’s deeply personal. I’ve long had an obsession with the Fleur-de-Lis and all things New Orleans. It’s a city that lives in my heart—it’s where Wink and I got engaged in Jackson Square in 2022, and we lovingly call it our “home away from home.” If you ever stop by, you’ll even see the only Mardi Gras-covered, beaded tree in Central Virginia right here on the property. Because around here, we believe in living vibrantly.
