Well, looks as if we'll have to re-schedule the reading at Borders! Lots of snow all over the place. Lovely but not very good for getting to book stores! Still, lots of writing to do! A re-write on the "Enzo" story, a new cat story, a story about a little girl in Bayeux, the Ohlaf stories (2), AND I STILL have to finish the next Evelyn Burke story. So, a warm place to sit and and LOTS of paper. Sounds good!

I had a lot of fun ast night at Barnes&Noble where Emilie Hancock put together a GREAT book fair for Cardinal Forest Elementary! The kids had crafts and bands and a coloring contest. And I had a chance to talk with a lot of the kids, the parents, teachers, and the principal, Karen Kenna. FUN!

Plug time! I have recently learned of Susan K. Marlow, who writes books for young readers. Her stories are based in the California foothills. Not exactly where I grew up, but close. The book trailer for her newest story (www.circlecadventures.com) looks a LOT like where I grew up. Anyway, check it out. We ordered the first book in the series and my daughter cannot wait to read it. Enjoy!

No signings this weekend! Off to Yorktown with the family where I am looking forward to HOURS and HOURS to work on... The next Evelyn Burke (Juliet's Opera) story and an Adult Fiction story from my time at sea aboard sailing ships. AND maybe an outline or two for a friend in L.A. Oh, and two fundraising letters for another friend. And an article for another. Hmmm, better be a LONG visit!

Well, I was supposed to finish the second Evelyn Burke (Juliet's Opera) book by the end of December. Guess that's going to have to be, um, by the end of January. I am hoping to post some snippets as I finish them.

Kringle Update! Megan Lott won the Kringle Contest and enjoyed her Kringle at Christmas yesterday! She gave over 40 copies of Painting Aalesund and Juliet's Opera to friends and family for Christmas. Wow!
