Most of my figurative paintings have a message behind them, and this one is dear to my heart. As I strive to not judge or categorize others, and instead just love them, I've found peace.
Our family has developed a little game to help us deal with situations - like a rude driver - where we make up a story that gives them the benefit of the doubt. It always starts with, "Bless their heart..." and then follows with a reason like, "They're on their way to the hospital to visit granny before she passes" or "They have had a super bad day and are running late for a meeting".
We don't know people's reasons for acting how they do, but we can give them the benefit of doubt and love them anyway! It helps us to not take offence where none was meant and see others' through the eyes of a loving Father in Heaven
