I am grateful to Gary for allowing us to renovate his master. We value creative uses for duct tape, but its application on the shower pan in his shower, was not ideal. By implementing a few modifications to the existing layout, we were able to relocate the wall adjacent to the toilet, providing ample elbow room. As we were already reconfiguring the space, we took the opportunity to extend his walk-in closet, ensuring it was flush with the main wall to maximize the area, rather than merely serving as a passage to the bathroom & closet. Gary appreciated the idea of installing a pocket door to access the closet from the bathroom, eliminating the need for multiple doors and creating a perfect spot for his TV. We also removed the 12-inch header and 8-inch curb from the shower to create a brighter, safer, more airy space. Gary is enjoying the luxurious amenities, including 12x24 porcelain wall tile & a tiled shower pan(no more duct tape), a folding teak bench, 2 ADA grab bars, LED exhaust fan, led light in the shower for an even brighter space, waterproof LVP flooring and a fresh coat of paint for the bedroom and ensuite. To maintain continuity with his preference for genuine wood, the trim and vanity stayed & Gary selected a modern quartz countertop, surface mount medicine cabinet and brushed nickel fixtures and wall accessories. All in all this was a simply complex transformation! Stay tuned for his guest bathroom touch up!
