What’s wrong here?
Well… the tile job looks to be good, and in theory the floor does go in 1st before tile on the walls…

but…

Forgot To Add the walls!!

You must add your wall backing 1st in order to lay your waterproofing and tile down. Waterproofing will need to go up the wall about 5 inches for the shower floor to function correctly and not leak.

Truly a rookie mistake.

Sorry to say, the whole floor will need to come up.

When the job requires no Rookies, call us.

How many layers is to much?
2-
I understand a homeowner who wants to save money and leave a good, clean layer down, but this is just nuts. The removal off all these layers will be more expensive than laying down the new floor.
