A blocked or frozen exhaust can affect how your furnace runs and may push harmful fumes back into your home. Take a quick look outside and make sure the exhaust is clear. Clear a path to allow for proper ventilation. Use a broom, ice melt, or warm water to remove ice—never sharp objects.
