Wendy's Cake Artistry Custom Cakes just for you! I have always watched my mom create cakes since I was a little girl.

Growing up my mom (who learned from her mom) taught me many of the decorating skills I still use today. When I moved out of the house I would occasionally make cakes for friends and for church events because I enjoyed it. In 2008, Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church had a BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) to raise money that would be given away to charity. The challenge started by giving each of us

in the congregation $50 to invest with the goal of making a profit and returning both the seed money as well as donating any profit to charity. With this challenge I thought that this would be a great time to see if I would like decorating cakes for a small business. I used the $50 seed money to get business cards, supplies and to pay for my website etc. At the end of the BHAG after all expenses were paid, I ended up doubling my money! I gave back the $50 seed money and the $50 profit to the church to give to charity. That was 2008, I continue to decorate cakes today simply because I love to. Being a 3rd generation cake decorator, I still use the same homemade butter cream icing recipe that my grandmother used. I look forward to bringing a little piece of my home to your home on your next special occasion.
