A year in review here!

While I got a lot painted in the first half of the year. I did not get a ton done in the second half. 2026 will be a learning curve in how much I can get done overall but I have good hopes for hobby productivity in this new year.

Apparently my dog Maximus also wants to start painting. The lack of thumbs won’t stop him! 😂😂

Still working on my test model for next years competition piece.

I’ve been pretty busy with life and I haven’t had a chance to paint. However this bug is coming along as a good test for competition piece later this year.

This model was fun to paint. I got him “done” then decided to add some more work on it thinking I’d enter the model in to competition, but ultimately didn’t. Fun model and I like how he turned out

I had an incredible time at GenCon! We had 180 people come to our classes and begin their mini painting journey. I entered the competition, and Lord Kroak brought home a Bronze Award this year. I'm already making plans for next year.

Might not be able to see the difference in these to models but each has had an additional 10 hours of work into them. With so close I need to get them done asap!

Just got home from Origins Game Fair it was a great weekend filled with family fun and mini painting!

I entered 3 pieces (pictures below) it was sort of a scramble to get pieces that I thought were competition ready, but I gave it my all and I’m both proud of my work and mildly disappointed. I came home with 3 bronze awards. I was hoping for a Silver with my Large Scale entry.

That being said I got some great feedback and will improve my GenCon pieces between now and Aug. Not meeting my expirations only helps me push harder to improve and get better

Latest , Lord- Relictor from the Stormcast Eternals. So far this guy have been fun to paint, Shading and highlights still need to be done, but its coming along for sure.
