I used to donate 50% of paintings sold at the annual auction to the Richmond, VA chapter of Links, Inc. Links is a non-profit charitable organization of African Women here in Richmond and around the world. Many of my mentors, when I first started teaching, were members. This one is in honor of my mentors who helped me to become a culturally competent teacher in Richmond Public Schools.
