Flooring can completely change how a home feels 👣✨

One of the fastest ways to transform a space is right under your feet — the right flooring makes all the difference.

Whether you’re looking for something warm, durable, modern, or timeless, we offer professional installation for all flooring types, including:
• Hardwood (solid & engineered)
• Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP/LVT)
• Laminate
• Tile (ceramic & porcelain)
• And more

Each option has its place, and choosing the right one depends on how you live, how much traffic the space gets, and the look you want long-term. We help walk you through those decisions so you don’t end up with something that looks good today but doesn’t hold up tomorrow.

From prep to finish, flooring is one of those details where proper installation matters just as much as the material — and that’s where experience shows.

If new floors are on your list for this year, now’s a great time to start the conversation.

Built right. Finished strong.

Why ledger board protection matters more than you think 🧠🔨

One of the most critical — and most overlooked — parts of a deck isn’t what you see… it’s what’s between the deck and the house.

When installing a ledger board, a full layer of protection (proper flashing + waterproof membrane) is essential. Without it, moisture can get trapped between the deck and your home, leading to rot, mold, and serious structural issues over time.

Here’s why we never skip this step:
• Prevents water intrusion
• Protects your home’s framing and sheathing
• Extends the life of the deck AND the house
• Meets modern building code requirements

Skipping proper ledger protection might save time up front — but it almost always costs more later.

This is one of those details you’ll never see once the deck is built…
but you’ll absolutely feel it if it’s done wrong.

Built right. Built to last.

Wisdom Wednesday 🧠🔩
The right fastener for the right job matters.

One thing most homeowners never see — but absolutely feel later — is the fasteners behind the work.

When we’re building on the exterior, not all screws and nails are created equal. Using interior-grade fasteners outside is a shortcut that leads to rust, staining, weakened connections, and premature failure.

For exterior applications, we use properly rated fasteners designed to handle:
• Moisture
• Temperature swings
• Pressure-treated lumber
• Years of New England weather

The goal isn’t just to make it look good today — it’s to make sure it’s still solid 10, 20, 30 years from now.

Fasteners may be small, but choosing the wrong ones can cost big down the road. Quality construction is about what you don’t see just as much as what you do.

Built right. Built to last.

Tipping it Tuesday
2. Energy Efficiency Standards Are Becoming More Stringent

Across many updated codes, especially in places adopting the newest International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) standards, there’s a stronger emphasis on energy performance — like tighter insulation, better thermal envelopes, and details that reduce heat loss.

⚡ Energy heels (aka “raised heel trusses”) are a real example — they encourage full insulation depth at exterior walls so you aren’t losing thermal performance at the roof edge.

This is something homeowners will feel — more consistent interior temperatures and lower costs over time — but builders need to specify and install it right.

Big progress happening on our Dublin addition 👏

The exterior work is moving right along and siding is officially underway — which means we’re closing in on one of the most exciting phases of any build: heading inside.

Getting the shell buttoned up is a huge milestone. Once siding is complete, we can shift focus to interior work where this addition really starts to take shape and feel like part of the home, not just a project.

We’re proud of how smoothly this one is coming together and grateful to be trusted with such an important upgrade to this home. Stay tuned — the next updates will be where things get fun.

As always, built the right way, with the long game in mind.

After years of working on homes around our area, there are a few mistakes we see homeowners make again and again — usually with the best intentions.

1️⃣ Reusing what’s already there
Just because something looks fine doesn’t mean it is. Old footings, framing, or structural elements can hide problems underground or behind walls. Starting fresh (or at least verifying what’s there) prevents costly surprises later.

2️⃣ Chasing the cheapest quote
Price matters — but what’s included matters more. The lowest number often skips prep, proper materials, or long-term solutions. That usually shows up later as repairs, callbacks, or redone work.

3️⃣ Rushing the project timeline
Fast isn’t always better. Weather, materials, and proper planning all matter. A well-paced project is almost always a better-built project.

👉 The good news?
All of these are avoidable with the right plan and honest conversations up front.

If you’re thinking about a project — now or later — asking the right questions early can save a lot of stress (and money) down the road. We’re always happy to talk things through, even if you’re just gathering info.

If you’ve been thinking about a home project but weren’t sure when to start…
this is actually the best time.

Winter season means:
✅ Faster scheduling
✅ More focused attention on your project
✅ No rushing to beat the next job
✅ Thoughtful planning done right the first time

Whether it’s:
• A small repair you’ve been putting off
• A deck that needs love before spring
• Interior updates
• Structural fixes
• Or planning a larger project for warmer months

This is when we can slow down, walk your space, talk options, and build a solid plan that fits your home and your budget.

We’re a local, family-run crew, and most of our work comes from word of mouth — neighbors helping neighbors. If you’ve got questions, ideas, or even just want an honest opinion, now’s a great time to reach out.

Well… we made it 😅
Driveways shoveled. Trucks dug out. Boots thawed.

Huge shoutout to everyone who grabbed a shovel, helped a neighbor, and powered through one heck of a storm. Days like this are a reminder that no matter how wild the weather gets, this community always shows up 💪

We’re officially dug out, fired up, and excited to get back to work doing what we do best. Let’s go build, fix, and create some awesome things again.

Winter tried us — we passed. ❄️➡️🔨

✅ Finished Friday

The story is complete.
Our Peterborough, NH porch addition is officially finished — and it came together exactly how we envisioned it.

This project was all about creating a space that feels intentional, timeless, and built to be lived in. From the structure to the finishing details, every step focused on craftsmanship, flow, and long-term durability — not just looks on day one.

What started as a work-in-progress is now a porch made for:
☀️ Morning coffee
🌬️ Fresh air
🍂 New England seasons
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Everyday moments

We love wrapping up projects like this — where the final result truly feels like it belongs to the home.

🔙 Throwback Thursday

This one takes us back to one of the longest decks we’ve ever built — and still one of our all-time favorites.

What really set this project apart wasn’t just the scale, but the details.
The barrel ceiling over the entryway added an elevated, custom feel, and the structural columns in place of traditional 6×6 posts completely changed the look and presence of the deck.

Those columns didn’t just support the structure — they defined it. Clean, intentional, and designed to feel like a natural extension of the home rather than “just a deck.”

This build is a perfect reminder that length gets attention…
but details are what make a project unforgettable.
