Master Bath Remodel

This bathroom remodel was a bit different. The prior homeowner attempted to do a texture on the drywall. It was very aggressive and the walls were very wavy. We ended up removing the drywall from the walls. We skim coated the ceiling to make it smoth. We fixed the non-working ceiling lights and replaced the bath fan. The studs on the wall were almost an inch off from each other in certain areas. We had to use shims, sister studs, and plane down a majority of the studs to get them all level and flush. We tore out the old bath/shower and replaced it with a more modern system. The vanity and mirror was also replaced.

We transformed an open space into three rooms (half bath, living room, and bedroom). We enclosed the mechanical room. We made a storage area under the stairs and added a custom door. We enclosed the staircase, added a pocket door, and added a stair skirt and new stair treads. The customer initially asked for drop ceiling, but later decided on drywall on the ceiling. I believe it was the right choice. Another great transformation.

Harvell Plumbing and Gas added the water and drain lines for the half bath. If you need an honest plumber, give them a shout.

For business owners looking for a CRM management, stay away from Houzz Pro!! They talked a big game about how they could help my company grow and told me I was the only contractor in my area that offered the services I do, assuring me there were a multitude of leads that would flood in. Almost a year into the subscription, and I might get one or two leads a month...most of which are scams. I have called every single lead the day I get it and can never reach the individual.

After reading reviews online from other business owners, this is nothing new. I should have done my homework before signing up. They talk a good game and promise the moon. Now I'm in a long haul trying to contact someone so I can make sure the subscription doesn't renew. Of course, you cant cancel on your own by going online.

Learn from my mistake.

Houzz Pro is not worth the hype.
