Well this was a first for me with 20+ years in the plumbing field!
A customer had a drain that kept backing up and it didn’t make sense. After a couple tweaks it kept doing it. I finally cut the pipe and realized something was in there blocking the pipe. At first, I tried pounding the plug out of the pipe so we didn’t have to replace all of it. That did not work, so then I cut the pipe approximately where the plug was.
At that time, something started coming out of the pipe. I thought it was a toy of some kind. The customer jumped back and said snake!!! I dropped the pipe and he raced it outside. What we didn’t know was that the other half of the snake was in the remaining part and was still alive! 😬😳. We got that outside also!
This was in a basment drain, we think it came up the line from the septic system! 😳
Here I thought coaching wrestling was hard on my heart!
