Description of your business and how/when it all began:

Vic's Tree Service started the business in 2018 after Vic worked in tree service for a few years. What started as a truck and a small trailer, with just the two of us working on weekends, has turned into a much larger tree service business! Vic’s Tree Service provides tree trimming, tree removal, and stump grinding services for Rockford and the surrounding area.

How has your business contributed to the community?

We are very involved in our Rockford community, supporting many events and organizations like Rockford River Days, the Rockford Education Foundation and Rockford Area Schools, and other local organizations. We’ve attended the expo at the Rockford Community Center and have helped many community members in times of emergency with their trees.

What is something you admire about the Rockford/Greenfield Community?

Our favorite thing about Rockford/Greenfield is how this community has embraced us. My wife grew up in Rockford, works at the Middle School, we live in Rockford, and the community has always been so good to our family. They’ve supported us as we started growing our business, are always giving referrals, and most importantly our community shows up for each other. We are very happy to be in Rockford, and are proud to contribute to a community that has given so much to us!

1. How long have you been in business in the Rockford area?
My wife and I started our tree service company in 2018.

2. Tell us about your business, what products/services do you offer?
We trim trees, completely take down trees, haul away and clean up any debris, and stump grind.

3. What are your hours of operation?

My wife grew up in Rockford and has lived here most of her life and is now a teacher at the Middle School, our home is in Rockford, our kids go to Rockford schools, and we love to support local residents, companies, and foundations.

5. What do you look forward to the most during Rockford River Days?
River Days gives us a chance to meet with customers, community members, friends, and family. It is one of our favorite events of the year where we can celebrate all of the amazing things Rockford has to offer.

Big job in Mound completed on Monday ✅ 🌳

We often get questions about the safety of dropping large limbs, and how to protect yards, fences, and houses. Using a rope and pulley system, we can cut large branches and safely lower them to the ground to avoid any damage. Video in comments!
