The smoke is a constant reminder of why we do what we do. Creating defensible space from wildfires is more important than ever.
Though we are shut down for the season until the fire level drops in the fall and can start running our saws again, our need to help our community doesn't stop at extreme.
My crewman and brother, Cody McAlpine is using this time off to fight fires with our cousin's company, the HB Company. He is currently on an engine stationed on the Tate Fire which has reached 21 acres. I'm so proud of his efforts and passion to protect our forests and community.
