Today National Locksmith Service, Cell 828-553-5339 installed 3 reasonably priced battery powered Grade 2 commercial/residential Kwikset Smartcode Contemporary Touchpad electronic single deadbolt locks on steel doors. The locks do not require internet to program them to work. The key access is pick proof and cannot be picked open.
To the contrary 3 days ago, I went to a home which had a more expensive Grade 2 lock that the owner could not change her user code or operate because her app server was down. It also had a key access that could be picked open. Just because a lock is more expensive doesn't mean it's more secure. Sometimes less money is better.
