So thankful for some cooler wet weather! The Rocky Mountains have been burning since August and our poor firefighters have been working so hard to contain multiple blazes. Hiking and exploring the mountains are some of our favorite things to do here and it breaks my heart to think so much of God's beautiful creation has burned. It's also really creepy living under a constant cloud of smoke and ash. But hopefully with some colder weather finally here that will give them the edge they need. Praying for Colorado and California!⁠⠀

This old barn! 😍 The Front Range of Northern Colorado has a rich ranching and farming history, and in many places you can find a charming old barn like this one still standing. I wonder what her story is? Did she hold grain, cows, or the occasional outlaw under her roof? How many frozen winters and arid summers has she seen? I don't know the answers, but I do know that this is my favorite capture of the year and I'm happy to have her on my living room wall 💛⁠⠀

I love this verse for this time of year as we celebrate the harvest and cozy up for the coming holidays. I have this one hanging in our online school room, to remind me to keep at it faithfully and eventually we will reap a harvest from this unexpected school year. My little "pumpkins" need lots of tending during this season but I am thankful that working from home fits in the margins so well.⁠⠀
