Have you tried this trend yet? I ate my first chocolate covered mummy Oreo today and OMG! It was delicious! They are super easy to make with chocolate melts. The Ghirardelli melts are by far the best. Dip, drizzle, add eyeballs and cool. That’s it! It’s a super fun surprise in your kids lunch? Next up to try is Frankenstein!

Life has been moving SO fast! This is a cake order I did back in April for a very special 11 year old! It was filled with lots of FIRSTS: first chocolate cake recipe from scratch, first time making chocolate ganache, first time decorating a 3 tier round cake, first time using my Cricut to stencil. There are several lessons learned, but the most important outcome was the joy this special cake brought to her special day! I am grateful to my client for trusting me with the challenge! Last week, I attempted to make the cake in a jar and it turned out to be a success. It's an innovative way to reuse the cake scraps that are cut off during the leveling process. My kitchen is small! When I bake I use every inch of it! Well last night I learned a big lesson! DO NOT USE YOUR STOVETOP AS WORKSPACE! DUH! 🤦🏼‍♀️

I was cleaning up and my plastic cake stand was on the stove, I must have leaned on the dial and turned it on! To my surprise when I turned around half of my cake stand was melted!

I quickly acted, scraped it off the stove, turned on the fan and opened the windows! Thank goodness the smoke alarm didn’t go off, it was 12:30 am and my kids were sleeping, and I didn’t burn 🔥 my house down! Thank GOD! 🙏🏻

Lesson learned! And now I need a metal cake turner! 😂
