Always a good feeling to locate a leak after the two largest Leak Detection companies in the area struggle to find it. They even charged the customer over $1500 for a repair that didn't even solve their issue. So much of locating these hard to find leaks comes from on-the-job experience. Heated floors feel nice on the feet but not on the wallet! These hot water leaks below the slab can not only cause a spike in the water bill but also the gas bill as the water heater works to try and heat the water constantly flowing through the tank. Thermal imaging allows us to quickly zone in on the leak location to be verified by sonar. High gas bill? Hot spots on the floor? High water bill? Cold water coming out hot? Just another day in the office. Hot water leak under the slab causing heated floors in the dining room. Copper pipe had a kink in the line causing turbulence and accelerated wear. Flir working overtime this week! Using thermal imaging to pinpoint the origin of rain related leaks. This customer called suspecting a window leak when they discovered water dripping from the top corner of the window frame. Using the thermal imaging camera we were able to follow a moisture trail hidden behind the drywall to the true source of the leak: the roof!!
