Highlighting one of our recent projects.

The Thomas Township Municipal Office Building and Fire Station additions were completed in the summer of 2023. The main office is a 15,000 square-foot facility highlighting an open flowing office atmosphere but offering separation from the public through a round corridor that allows the visitor to find any of the different departments easily. The building has conference areas in the center to provide space for meetings of different sizes.

The Fire Station additions were done to provide top notch conference and meeting areas for training and large meetings. This also allows a much easier voting facility for the public. The addition on the front of the building provided a much-needed Officer Room and larger Radio Room. These additions added 4400 additional square-feet to the existing building.

Along with the new buildings, we also designed a new pickleball court facility to the south of the new structures.

The Mill at Zehnder Park unveiled its showpiece today at a small preview that we had the pleasure of witnessing. It’s scheduled to be open in 2026. We can’t wait for the final walkthroughs of this beautiful hotel and lounge.

One of our recent projects getting some press. It’s definitely going to be a gem in Frankenmuth.

In 1848, just a few years after Frankenmuth was founded, the Hubinger brothers built a flour mill on the banks of the Cass River, an energetic waterway. The mill was torn down in the 1950s and 30 years later, a replica was built in its spot. Once it closed, after several ownership changes and concepts, the facility sat empty for years, until the Zehnder family purchased it in 2022. No, it wouldn’t be another haven for chicken dinner lovers, but rather, upscale lodging — something the town could certainly use.⁠

The Mill at Zehnder Park, a 13,700-square-foot boutique hotel, with four individually curated large suites overlooking the picturesque Cass River, is slated to open for bookings in early 2026.⁠

“We were proud to acquire the property and very early on we sensed it would be cool to turn it into a small boutique hotel,” said Al Zehnder, CEO of Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth, at the media sneak peek of the hotel, located at 701 Mill St.⁠

We are saddened by the loss of a long-time employee Carol Kosik who worked at TSSF for 25 years. She is the mother of our lead architect Keith Kosik. Her obituary is below.
