We introduced Har Mahdeem to the rarest Annona last night at the Manatee County Rare Fruit Council. This was our 2nd time hearing him speak there and the talk was all about annonas! Har grew up in Brazil with an amazing variety of fruits that undoubtedly shaped his whole life and work here in Florida. He is a legendary tropical fruit expert who focused on breeding annonas and created one of our favorite atemoyas - the Lisa 💕

We checked on the jabuticabas a couple days ago and they weren’t quite ripe yet! This drought has slowed them down a bit, but they are finally ready to harvest 😍

For those of you who pre ordered, we will have them ready for you as soon as this afternoon! Thank you so much for your patience, but we wanted them to ripen to perfection! It’s actually a crime to pick them early and eat sour jabuticabas 😅

Jabuticaba flower fairies 🧚✨

We dropped by the grove this weekend to document the prolific flowering of these nearly 40 year-old specimens and captured some real life fairy activity on the blossoms! These are some of the most magical trees in existence in our opinion, and it’s easy to see why!

We are gearing up for what we like to call “JaboMania” and to better prepare ourselves for the pure madness which it entails, we will be taking preorders starting now!

Message us to reserve your fruit today!

These are first come first serve so those who reserve will get the freshest first harvest from these trees. Jaboticaba has a very short shelf life, even when refrigerated and though they are great in all stages of ripeness in our opinion, the delicate flavors present in the fresh-picked fruits are extremely fleeting and elegant!

Fruit will be available for pickup in just a few weeks, and we are already having HUGE demand, so buy now or as soon as you can to ensure you get the best fruit possible! They also freeze well if you want to store some for later preparations such as jam, jelly, wine, ice cream/gelato or to just thaw and eat later.

This huge specimen of Plinia coronata ‘restinga’ is finally flowering in a 45 gal pot.

This is rare variety of a wild species which is very closely related to the famous Brazilian national fruit, the commercially-farmed Sabará (Myrciaria cauliflora) but makes fruit with their pine unique flavor profile, said to be sweet and delicious with ripe fruits taking on a root beer like flavor. We soon can report back about our experience with the flavor profile!

This one was sourced from the Plinia Prince himself whose essential work in propagating these new varieties has opened up a whole new world for rare fruit growers in Florida and beyond!

We are beyond excited to be diving deeper into the wonderful world of jabuticaba!

Happy 1 Year of Marriage to my Love -the radiant mother of our babydoll Annona, who is very much the definition of a ‘bouncing baby’ girl.

In the few years we have been together it feels like we have moved mountains, both within and without of ourselves. Not least of all we have carved a living out of our shared passions and I am SO grateful for that!

It goes with saying that i stand by my promises, to always love and support and work toward being a better husband and now thanks to you, a smitten father of this gorgeous baby!

The going may sometimes get tough but I’m proud of how we have never backed down on our vision and how we have handled multiple moderate to severe crises with grace.

You are the best thing that’s happened to me! My other half. Thank you so much for loving me. Only through your steadfast support and patient nature have I been able to muster the strength and clarity within myself to overcome the many different hurdles of the life we have chosen. We knew setting up and running a farm wouldn’t be easy.

Annona could not have a better mother nor her dah-dah have a better wife. I’m grateful for every day we are blessed with and so excited for the fruit adventures we are to all enjoy together!
