1️⃣ Electrical Panel – Check for rust, corrosion, unusual warmth, or tripped breakers.
2️⃣ Outdoor Outlets & GFCIs – Test and inspect outlets exposed to the weather to ensure they're functioning properly.
3️⃣ Air Conditioner Circuit – Your AC is one of the biggest electrical loads in your home. A dedicated circuit in good condition helps keep things running efficiently.

⚠️ SAFETY REMINDER: NEVER TOUCH DOWNED POWER LINES

If you see a downed power line, always assume it is energized and extremely dangerous. Stay far away and keep others, pets, vehicles, and equipment away from the area.

Before any electrical repair or restoration work can begin, the utility company must verify that the line has been de-energized. If you encounter a downed power line, contact Evergy immediately and report its location. Do not approach the line or attempt to move it for any reason.

Your safety is our top priority. Waiting for confirmation from Evergy helps protect homeowners, first responders, and electrical workers from serious injury or death.
