Continuing the basement apartment renovation.

Painted the bedroom walls and closet with Chantilly Lace.

Glad to get rid of the dark blue. The room already feels bigger and brighter.

Paint day 🎨

Painted the bathroom and the bedroom ceiling using my paint sprayer.

Used Chantilly Lace to match the rest of the house and keep everything consistent.

Back to working on the basement mother-in-law unit.

In this video I trimmed out the bedroom and new bathroom, then puddied and caulked all the nail holes in the trim and closet.

Now it’s finally ready for paint.

Full driveway extension in under 3 minutes πŸ’¨

Started by getting the curb cut, then removed all the sod, capped the sprinkler lines, demoed the old driveway edge, installed forms and rebar dowels, and finally poured and finished the concrete.

My dad helped finish the concrete and at 64 he’s still an absolute beast πŸ’ͺ

Really happy with how this project turned out.

Full driveway extension start to finish.

Started by having the curb professionally cut, then removed all the grass and sod for the new driveway area.

After that I dug up and capped the sprinkler lines, removed the old sloped edge of the driveway, installed forms, added rebar dowels into the existing concrete, and finally poured and finished the new driveway extension.

My dad came over to help finish the concrete and at 64 he’s still an absolute beast πŸ’ͺ

Really happy with how this project turned out.

Full guest bedroom renovation in under 3 minutes.

Removed the old carpet, built out the closets with more shelving, replaced both windows, added can lights, patched drywall, painted, installed new trim and hardware, built custom wood window trim, and finished it off with a ceiling fan and blinds.

Still need a little more furniture, but I love how it turned out.

Full guest bedroom renovation start to finish.

This room needed a complete update, so I started by removing the old carpet, pad, trim, and casing.

Then I built out the closets with extra shelving for more storage, installed new trim, puddied and caulked everything, replaced both windows, added can lights, patched drywall, painted the room, installed new door hardware, built custom wood trim for around the windows, and finished it off with a ceiling fan and blinds.

Still need a little more furniture, but I love how this room turned out.

Continuing the driveway extension.

Poured the concrete for the new driveway section today.

My old man came over to help finish it β€” at 64 he’s still an absolute beast πŸ’ͺ

Continuing the driveway extension.

Got the forms set and added rebar dowels into the existing driveway to tie the new concrete into the old.

Concrete pour is next… stay tuned πŸ‘€

Continuing the driveway extension.

After getting the curb cut, I had to sledgehammer out the old sloped edge of the driveway.

Everything was going great until I broke the wood handle on my sledgehammer πŸ˜‚

Ended up busting out the jackhammer to finish it off. Not as fun…
