Hey everyone! Here's some background on Cheaper Than Therapy:
I honestly started this because my cucumber plants were going wild one year, and no one ate them in my family but me! So I started experimenting with a handful of recipes to find one that I really liked!
Here comes the plot twist: no one eats pickles in my house but me (I live with some haters). So I started handing out jars. If you came to my house, you definitely left with a jar. If I came to your house... I brought one with me. I was surprised when those empty jars came back with requests for more.
Over time I experimented, tweaked the recipes and added new ones.
The most important part is I kept it simple, as natural and with homegrown and organic/natural ingredients as much as I could, and listened to every bit of feedback I received.
I make Bread and butter pickles that are meant for the refrigerator (if they make it that far). There are currently 4 types to try out!
And most importantly: This food is made in a home kitchen and is not inspected by the Department of State Health Services or a local health department.
We keep it clean in our cooking area, and even if you aren't making delicious pickles, wash your hands!
