Saturday is reserved for creativity and hustling! I went to the gym early this morning, then I decided to woodwork. I haven't made a cross in years. So today is the day to make one out of reclaimed wood. 20 inches in height. The sides (cross pieces) are 5.5 inches each side. I used Behr semi gloss paint and three coats of spray lacquer. I also started a Santa πŸŽ… project, im super excited about it. I got the idea off of Pintrest. The image will be in the comments. Im letting the Santa dry overnight. (Glue and paint) More to come on this project have a wonderful night everyone.

Have a fascinating Sunday everyone 😊 πŸ˜€ ☺️

Day 2 of woodworking, this time it is in fact holiday oriented. I made two Christmas tags, and that's right, the urban legend, the myth, the Christmas Bigfoot! I made the Christmas tags out of scrap wood and used holiday napkins and some ribbons. Big foot is made from MDF board and I used Behr interior exterior paint. If you are interested by all means let me know. As always thank you for all the love over the years...

So it definitely has been a hot minute but yes I did in fact do woodworking. I made a planter for the new tree i purchased at Home Depot and lemon Cypress tree, smells good. On a scale of 1 being super easy to 10 expert level I'd give this project a 2. I used πŸ’― reclaimed wood (cedar fence) I had in the garage. I used gorilla woodglue and black carpenter nails to give it a rustic look. This project took 2 hours from beginning to end. I've never made one before and in my opinion it turned out pretty good. Anyway ill follow up with a previous post about the outdoor deck we built for our home later. Have an amazing Sunday evening everyone.

Okay, okay, okay yes I shaved lol. I have done zero woodworking in the past 6 weeks because I'm task saturated. I am currently involved in a school and my estimated completiondate is in August 2025 this does take my full attention πŸ™ƒ. But in my spare time I've been working on my back deck. I bought railroad ties from McCoys for $400 that included delivery. My son and I have been getting rocks from our yard and started the leveling process for the base of the deck. Once this is completed I'll set the railroad ties down make sure it's level and then I'll buy the lumber necessary to build that deck! It's going to 11.6ft wide by 18ft long and I'm super stoked. A floating deck made with railroad ties soaked in tar should last year's upon years. Anyway be good everyone and I always appreciate the support from all of you. I'll keep you all updated when i will graduate 😘 πŸ˜‰ πŸ™‚ ☺️ ❀️

First project of 2025 is a single challenge coin display for a buddy of mine. Yes it's small, but it's impactful and meaningful to him. It feels great to be woodworking again. My broken finger is better and I'm stoked to finish other projects in the works. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. Thanks for all the love and support over the past 8 years.
