Our customer recently had their roof fixed and during the process the vented Hardie soffit was ļæ¼removed leaving their patio framing exposed. This is never ideal as rodents, birds and insects could make a home in the deep recesses of the patio, requiring expert removal and more repairs. Fortunately they trusted us with the repair so we could close up their patio and make it look complete.
What we were hired to do:
-Repair joists
-Install 16ā x 12ā vented Hardie soffit with hot dipped ring shank nails to prevent nail pops
-Install 1ā x 2ā SmartSide trim around beam and between fascia and soffit
-Caulk all seams with elastomeric caulk to prevent cracking
-Paint patio repair as well as the rest of the ceiling and posts to give everything a uniform look with Sherwin Williams Exterior Super Paint.
We make sure to do everything to a T. We use the correct nails with proper scheduling to prevent backing out and sagging. We use premium sealant to prevent cracking and seal from moisture. We cover up surfaces so we donāt paint things that arenāt supposed to be painted. We use premium paint to maximize durability and aesthetic appeal. Lastly we clean up thoroughly and put back the things we moved. If you have any exterior soffit, siding, and trim repairs we encourage you to reach out for a free estimate. All you have to do is send us pictures of your repair and we send you a price. Donāt neglect damaged soffit, siding, or trim as these serve to shed water and prevent the structural framing of the house from being exposed to moisture. While they may seem like superficial repairs they provide vital protection to your homeās framing which is vulnerable to rot if exposed to little amounts of moisture.
