🚀 It’s live!

We just launched the HomeArmor homeowner maintenance portal and the early feedback has been awesome.

Homeowners can now create a free account and get reminders for important home maintenance tasks so things don’t get forgotten.

Think things like:
• HVAC filter changes
• Gutter cleaning
• Smoke detector checks
• Seasonal home maintenance

The goal is simple: help homeowners stay ahead of maintenance instead of reacting to expensive repairs.

You can sign up here:

🔧 We’re also looking for quality service vendors.

If you’re a contractor or service provider (HVAC, roofing, plumbing, electrical, lawn care, pest control, etc.), you can apply inside the app to become a vetted vendor.

Homeowners using the portal will be able to connect with trusted providers when they need help.

If you run a service business and want more local work, this is a great opportunity to get in early.

If you’re a homeowner, give it a try and tell us what features you’d like to see next.

Your feedback is going directly into the roadmap.

Not Every Flush Is a Win. And That’s the Truth.

Friday we performed a dual water heater flush.

Two older units.

As we lowered the temperature on one to begin the service… it shut off immediately.

No warning. No drama. Just age catching up.

Here’s the part most companies won’t say:

Older water heaters that haven’t been maintained regularly can be on borrowed time. Sediment builds up for years. Internal components weaken. Sometimes the flush doesn’t “cause” the failure — it simply exposes a unit that was already at the end of its life.

Flushing is preventative maintenance.
But maintenance can’t reverse time.

What matters is transparency.

Before every flush, we evaluate:
• Age of the unit
• Maintenance history
• Signs of heavy sediment
• Risk factors

And we communicate those risks clearly.

If a heater is 12–15+ years old and has never been serviced, we’ll tell you straight — it may not make it much longer, flush or no flush.

Our job isn’t just to turn valves.

It’s to protect your home, your time, and your expectations.

If your water heater is aging and you’re unsure whether a flush makes sense, we’ll give you an honest assessment — no pressure.

When was the last time your water heater was flushed?

Quick question for local service business owners 👇

What happens when someone calls you while you’re on a job and you miss it?

Most of the time, that job is gone. Not because you weren’t good — but because no one followed up fast enough.

I recently set up an automation system for my own service business that:
• Texts missed calls instantly
• Follows up automatically for a few days
• Books jobs while you’re still working
• Requests reviews after the job is done

No new ads. No complicated tech. Just fewer missed opportunities.

I’m opening a small number of spots for other local service businesses who want this set up for them.

Weekend Update – Routine Service, Safety First

This weekend we were scheduled for routine work, including a dual water heater flush at one property. The main house unit serviced as planned. During the standard visual check of the guest/rental unit (before flushing), we found conditions that required us to stop.

The drain pan was full and actively overflowing into the closet, with visible rust forming at the expansion tank connection. (Image shown is an AI-generated representation of the condition found) The water level was nearly covering the base of an older gas water heater. At that point, we did not touch, drain, or attempt to flush the unit. The homeowner was shown the condition and advised that the tank should be replaced sooner rather than later, as standing water around a gas appliance creates unnecessary risk.

On a separate job Friday, during the same pre-service visual check, we found a gas vent pipe that was not installed—it was simply sitting on top of the water heater. That meant exhaust gases were venting into the water heater closet. While the unit was in a garage and the roof pe*******on allowed some exhaust to escape, it was still not safe.

We were able to properly reinstall the vent pipe and confirm correct venting before proceeding with service.

We’re not an inspection company.
We’re a water heater flushing service.

That said, if something is unsafe or falls outside of what we can perform, we stop. If we can’t proceed, we leave at no charge and refer the homeowner to our licensed plumbing partner to address the issue properly.

No upsells. No pressure.
Just doing the job the right way — and only when it’s safe to do so.

That’s how we operate.
