CHRIS BROWN - PRINCIPAL

For 12 years, Chris Brown worked for one of the world's most renowned landscape architects, designing both modern and classically-styled private gardens for exclusive properties throughout the world. His designs include a private, 3-hole golf course modeled after Augusta National’s famed Amen Corner, a living sculpture garden consisting of 100 year-old Olive Trees, and private island resorts in the Bahamas and Seychelles. Chris has restored classical and historically-significant gardens of grand estates, and worked with the Firms of Pritzker Prize Laureates and prominent residential architects to create gardens suited to their modern masterpieces.

From the initial client meeting, to the design concept and eventual construction documentation, Chris draws on these unique experiences to connect with the client to create gardens tailored to their needs and the unique conditions of each site. Because of his experience on demanding and high-profile projects, he is adept at ushering designs through local city and design review agencies and is skilled at working with architects, interior designers, engineers, contractors and other design professionals on behalf of the client with a network of quality professionals he has cultivated through the years.

Most importantly, Chris has built the foundation of CMBLA on his relationships with each client, designing gardens in tandem so that the end result is a timeless expression of their vision, and continues to be as it matures.
