Apple rose cheesecake pie that slices clean 🍎🌹

Apple rose cheesecake pie: red-edged apple slices spiraled into a rose over creamy cheesecake in golden phyllo. 🍎

Brush five sheets of phyllo with butter and keep the rest under a damp towel so they don't crack. Slice two red apples paper-thin and leave the peel on for those red edges. My little hack: microwave the slices for 20 seconds so they bend into a rose without snapping. Then let it cool 30 minutes before slicing so the filling sets clean.

Homemade no-bake Mallomars, fluff that holds its shape 🍫

No-bake Mallomars made at home: a graham square, a tall marshmallow swirl and a thin chocolate shell. No oven needed. 🍫

Mounds bar cake with clean layers, no oven needed 🥥🍫

Mounds bar cake: chocolate crust, coconut middle and a chocolate top that slices clean. No oven needed. 🥥
Press the crumb crust hard into a lined pan with the bottom of a glass so it won't crumble later. Use unsweetened coconut, because the condensed milk brings all the sweetness. My little hack: melt the chocolate with a little coconut oil so the top slices clean instead of cracking. Then wipe a hot knife between cuts for clean layers.

Homemade fluffy pumpkin cheesecake dip in easy mode, no oven needed. 🍂

Beat a block of soft cream cheese smooth before anything else goes in, because once the pumpkin is in, lumps won't beat out. Add pumpkin puree, not pie filling: the filling's already sweetened and spiced, so the dip ends up too sweet. Fold in the whipped topping by hand so it stays light and fluffy. My little hack: dip your apple slices in lemon water so they don't turn brown on the dessert table.

Can't-stop-snacking Halloween puppy chow, made in the microwave and a zip bag, done in 10 minutes. 🎃

Melt the chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter in the microwave a little at a time, stirring between, then pour it over the Rice Chex and fold gently so the cereal doesn't break. My little hack: tip it into a zip bag with the powdered sugar and shake. No bowl, every piece coated. Let it cool a few minutes before the candy pumpkins and Reese's Minis go in, so they don't melt.

Halloween Oreo spiders in simple steps, no oven 🕷️

Twist your Oreos open slowly so the cream stays on one side, and the legs have something to sink into. Kitchen scissors cut the licorice laces faster and cleaner than a knife, and you press 4 legs into each side, because real spiders have 8. My little hack: a tiny dot of melted chocolate is the glue for the candy eyes. Chill them 10 minutes so everything sets.
